What to expect on your journey with Greencare Clinics

At Greencare Clinics, our commitment to providing a seamless journey for our patients is at the heart of everything we do. We are dedicated to a patient-first approach and believe that every individual deserves the highest level of care and attention when it comes to their health and well-being.

Our experienced team of healthcare professionals are passionate about providing personalised and comprehensive care. We strive to create a warm and welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns, asking questions, and actively participating in their healthcare decisions to ensure their journey to wellness is a positive one.

After booking your telehealth appointment with the Greencare Clinics team, you can expect the following steps as part of your journey to wellness.

Reminder SMS

Ahead of your scheduled consultation you will receive an SMS reminder with your appointment details. If you have any questions ahead of your consultation, please call our patient care team on 1300 508 888

Before your Telehealth consultation

Your consultation will be a 15 minute phone consultation with one of our practitioners. The practitioner will call from a private number, so make sure your phone allows calls from private numbers. If you miss the call, the practitioner will try again to call you one time only. Please make sure you have your phone ready. If you miss both calls, please call the team on 1300 508 888.

During your Telehealth consultation

During your consultation, be prepared to discuss your medical history, including current and previous medications. If the practitioner decides your condition requires treatment, they will prescribe medication based on what they think is the most suitable treatment for your condition. Please discuss any preferences and budget constraints with the practitioner on your call.

Prescription sent to the pharmacy

If you receive a prescription during your consultation, your electronic prescription and any required regulatory approvals will be sent directly to one of the number of pharmacies we work with based on your location and product required. You will receive an SMS with the pharmacy name and phone number approximately one hour after your consultation.

Contact pharmacy

Please contact your allocated pharmacy approximately 24 hours after your consultation to see if the required documents and approvals have been received. The pharmacy will then advise you on next steps.

One month review appointment

One month after your initial consultation you are advised to complete a clinical review with your practitioner. A Greencare team member will reach out directly to organise this review. This is to ensure the medication is suitable for your condition and to make any necessary changes. After the one month review, you typically are provided with a prescription for enough medication to last you between 4 and 6 months.

Ongoing follow up appointments

Any prescriptions issued for schedule 8 medication will expire after 6 months, so you will need to book in a follow up appointment to access further prescriptions if required. The Greencare team will reach out to you approximately one month prior to your script expiry.

Adverse reactions or issues with medication

If you experience an adverse reaction from your medication, please call 000 or visit your local hospital emergency department. We encourage you to advise us of any reactions you may have by calling us on 1300 508 888 once you are able.

If at any point you feel like your medication isn’t effectively supporting your needs, you are welcome to book in a follow up consultation to discuss further treatment with the practitioner.

If you have any questions about the above process, please call our team on 1300 508 888.

We ensure you are looked after at every step of the way, and the Greencare Clinics patient care team is available to answer any questions you have between Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm.

Your form has been submitted and reviewed, our friendly team will be in touch.
