What to expect on your journey with Greencare Clinics
At Greencare Clinics, we are committed to supporting our patients’ health journeys by prioritising a patient-centered approach. We believe in providing high-quality care that respects each individual’s needs and well-being.
Our team of healthcare professionals strives to deliver personalised and comprehensive care, creating a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns, asking questions, and actively participating in their healthcare decisions.
After booking a telehealth appointment with the Greencare Clinics team, here’s what you can expect as part of your experience.
Ahead of your scheduled consultation you will receive an SMS reminder with your appointment details. If you have any questions ahead of your consultation, please call our patient care team on 1300 508 888
Your consultation will be a phone consultation with one of our practitioners. The practitioner will call from a private number, so make sure your phone allows calls from private numbers. If you miss the call, the practitioner will try again to call you one time only. Please make sure you have your phone ready. If you miss both calls, please call the team on 1300 508 888.
During your consultation, be prepared to discuss your medical history, including current and previous medications. If the practitioner decides your condition requires treatment, they will prescribe medication based on what they think is the most suitable treatment for your condition. Please discuss any preferences and budget constraints with the practitioner on your call.
If you receive a general prescription during your consultation, it will be sent to either yourself or a recommended pharmacy. If you are prescribed a schedule 4 or schedule 8 medication then it is preferred that the practitioner sends any approvals and prescriptions to a recommended pharmacy.
You will receive an SMS with the pharmacy name and phone number approximately one hour after your consultation.
Please contact your the pharmacy approximately 24-48 hours after your consultation to see if the required documents and approvals have been received. The pharmacy will then advise you on next steps.
One month after your initial consultation you are advised to complete a review with your practitioner. A Greencare team member will reach out directly to organise this review. This is to ensure the medication is suitable for your condition and to make any necessary changes, and provide repeat prescriptions if required.
You are also welcome to book in a complimentary call with our Enrolled Nurse to discuss any questions about your treatment.
Any prescriptions issued for schedule 8 medication will expire after 6 months. The Greencare team will reach out to you approximately one month prior to your script expiry.
If you experience an adverse reaction from your medication, please call 000 or visit your local hospital emergency department. We encourage you to advise us of any reactions you may have by calling us on 1300 508 888 once you are able.
If at any point you feel like your medication isn’t effectively supporting your needs, you are welcome to book in a follow up consultation to discuss further treatment with the practitioner.
If you have any questions about the above process, please call our team on 1300 508 888.
We ensure you are looked after at every step of the way, and the Greencare Clinics patient care team is available to answer any questions you have between Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm.
